Legend says that when the eye faces the right, it represents the sun-god "Ra", when the eye faces the left, it represents the moon-god "Aad". Our double sided piece allows the wearer to invoke the blessings of either god while still possessing the magic of both.
The "Eye of Ra" was a popular symbol for the peoples of ancient Egypt. Since the Egyptian gods were intertwined over a 3000 year rein, this symbol is also referred to as the "Eye of Horus" or the "Eye of Thoth." This two-sided Udjat can be worn to represent either the Sun God Horus (Ra) or the Moon God "Aad" or Thoth.
Worn facing right invokes Ra, worn facing left invokes Thoth.
